Mir is a place with quiet streets, where the fates, culture and life of Belarusians, Poles, Roma, Tatars and Jews have been closely intertwined for centuries. On the outskirts of the village there is a medieval giant - Mir Castle, the history of which begins in the first half of the 16th century. Majestic towers and powerful walls harmoniously combine with a beautiful park, reflected in the mirror of the pond. Richly decorated with carvings and gilding, elegant furniture, steep staircases, which you will not just walk through - you will pass into another reality, into another century.
Then you will be able to plunge into the fascinating history of the Svyatopolk-Mirsky Chapel and Shrine. The building was designed by the St. Petersburg architect R.R. Marfeld. There are two levels in the structure of the building: the upper one is the church, designed for a limited number of visitors, and the lower one is the space of the tomb, where there are currently six burials. The surrounding area is planted with ornamental coniferous exotics from the 20th century, which have survived until today. Drowning in the greenery of the picturesque park, the Svyatopolk-Mirskikh church-tomb still leaves a lasting impression on visitors.
Return to the Green Park Hotel around 18:00.
